The Arts Club was founded in 1863 with the express aim of providing a meeting place for those engaged with the Arts, Literature or Science, and is open to professionals, patrons and amateurs alike.
Lord Leighton, President of the Royal Academy, was a founder member as were the artists Millais, Whistler, Fantin-Latour, Rodin & Rossetti. The Arts Club has also included among its members such eminent and inspiring writers as Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, Arthur Conan-Doyle and Bram Stoker.
Situated in Dover Street, the Club is a five minute walk from the galleries and auction houses of Mayfair and St James’s. The Club itself is housed in a beautiful 18th century townhouse and has a lovely private walled garden.
We would like to offer our thanks to the Arts Club for allowing us this fantastic opportunity to “come to town!”
