The National Open Art Competition, Contemporary Art

AMBASSADORS

WHAT IS A NOACC AMBASSADOR

Welcome to you as an Ambassador. Our role in administrating this competition is to keep the number and quality of entries as high as possible and to help artists in the process of being shown publicly, selling and promoting their work. Your role is to help us to maintain these aims and increase the integrity of the competition.

One of the ways of constantly increasing the level of participation is the concept of having you as an Ambassador taking time to talk to us and then to talk to your friends; colleagues; mentors and peers about The National Open Art Competition. Also about our friendly services to help artists as well as to inform them of all the art and learning facilities in Chichester and the surrounding area, and in your own locality by posting events on to the blog,Twitter or Facebook.

We are fortunate to be able to offer a huge range of very important art facilities. As well as keeping our Ambassadors informed about our competition and its surrounding events we aim to send a monthly update of What’s On in The Art World of Chichester and the surrounding area.

CHICHESTER “ CITY OF THE ARTS”

At the heart of our city we have the Gulbenkian Award winning Pallant House Gallery which has one of the finest collections of Modern British Art in the country; within two miles we have The Cass Foundation with 26 acres of monumental British Sculpture; nearby is Goodwood House and a few miles away Petworth House both with their world famous art collections. West Dean College with both graduate and post graduate arts facilities is just outside the city but within the city are Chichester University and Chichester College both with well known art faculties. Chichester Cathedral with 900 years of history has many fine pictures and works of art including modern work by Marc Chagall, John Piper, John Skelton , Graham Sutherland and Philip Jackson. Nearby Fishbourne Roman Palace, one of the most important Roman sites North of The Alps has, like Bignor, very important Roman Mosaic floors. The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum at Singleton has one of the finest interactive craft and heritage museums of its type in the world so there is all this as well as The National Open!! Chichester is very much a “City of The Arts”.

NETWORKING

A NOACC ambassador also benefits from their involvement by personal contact with our team who are always there to help with art related matters. Fellow Ambassadors across the country will also be there to blog/ Facebook and Twitter with.............we are building a NOACC communication network which can only be good for you all as your careers in the wider art world develop. Already many of our competition artists have made some very useful contacts purely from their involvement with our competition. 90% of us are volunteers and we think this makes our work really worthwhile.

FREE ENTRY

For you as Ambassadors free entry to the competition is available by simply introducing 5 artists to register and enter a work of art. It is important to get each of them to add your name on their entry form saying that you are the person who introduced them. Every 5 artists who you introduce will automatically mean you can enter one more picture free! At best your own entry could win you £10,000!!
