The Chichester Art Trust, a not for profit registered charity, has administrated The National Open Art Competition since its inception in 1996.

With no Arts Council funding all registration fees and donations go towards running the competition and awarding prizes.

The aim is to provide a truly open and fair platform, for every UK artist over 15 years to compete, exhibit and sell their work across a greater reach of people.

We aim to nurture creative talent from the emerging to the professional artist.

2014 sees the prize fund at £60,000 and the first exhibition of the year opens at SOMERSET HOUSE on SEPTEMBER 18th and runs until OCTOBER 26th 2014.

The exhibtion then tours to Chichester Festival Theatre;  Pallant House Gallery  and The Works on Paper Fair at The Science Museum
